Now it's August and we have returned safely from our Ultimate Adventure to celebrate the centenary of Girlguiding. There are so many people to thank and so many memories that we will have for the rest of our lives. We are so grateful to Girlguiding's pioneers for their actions 100 years ago which made our trip possible

Our Centenary Mountain Moment
After an exhilarating night tour of New York, we took the lifts to the 86th floor of the Empire State Building. The sights of the city were wonderful on a perfectly clear night.
At midnight, we said thank you to the Crystal Palace pioneers who 100 years ago started a movment for girls which has ultimately enabled us to do what we have been doing for the past 2 weeks. We then re-made our promises and pinned Centenary promise badges on each other.

Well done for remembering your 'roots' in the Crystal Palace...and for successfully making your way to the top of the Empire State building!! Don't think we will be able to 'better' the height you reached when we remake our Promises at the Racecourse...but the sentiment will be as sincere, I'm sure. Best Wishes for your return flight etc, and welcome home...tomorrow!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations to you all for remaking your promise ..... see you soon xx
